Guide: Downloading and Updating the World of Warcraft (WoW) 9.2.7 Client This guide assumes you want to download or update the World of Warcraft client to patch 9.2.7. Steps cover Blizzard Battle.net app (recommended) and manual/download troubleshooting. Before you start
Check system requirements: Ensure your PC/Mac meets WoW's minimum specs and has enough free disk space (allow ~100+ GB). Stable internet: A broadband connection is recommended; patch downloads can be several gigabytes. Backup: If you have slow or metered internet, consider backing up your current WoW folder before updating.
Option A — Using the Blizzard Battle.net App (recommended)
Install or open Battle.net:
Download the Battle.net desktop app from Blizzard's official site and install it if not already installed.
Log in with your Blizzard account. Select "World of Warcraft" from the left-hand game list. Set the correct game version:

If WoW is not installed:
Click Install and choose an install location. The client will download the full game.
If WoW is installed and needs updating:
The app will show “Update” or automatically begin patching to 9.2.7. Click Update if needed.
Wait for download and install to complete. Click Play when finished.
