Most are fake (leading to survey scams or malware). Some are real but use older cracks that trigger antivirus and crash often.

To create a portable version, the software's protection mechanisms (DRM) must be disabled. The files that "crack" the software (often .dll files or .exe patches) are flagged by antivirus software as suspicious. Malware distributors often hide Remote Access Trojans (RATs) or cryptominers within these modified files. Because the user is disabling security protocols to run the software, they often disable their antivirus to get the program to run, leaving their system fully exposed.

Inkscape Portable runs from USB, uses no Registry, and supports AI files (with limitations). It is the closest alternative to Adobe Illustrator 2023.
