The game places the player in the shoes of a boy pulled into File City (Ciudad Archivo) to save the island from a crisis causing Digimon to lose their memories. The objective is simple yet difficult: recruit Digimon to repopulate the city while raising a partner Digimon that lives, eats, sleeps, and eventually dies.
