Detective Ma Seok-do (Don Lee) travels to Vietnam to extradite a fugitive. There, he discovers a series of brutal kidnappings and murders targeting Korean tourists. The culprit is Kang Hae-sang (Son Suk-ku), a psychotic mercenary who kills without hesitation. Ma teams up with local police to track Kang down, leading to an explosive final confrontation back in South Korea.
In the last act, Kang kidnaps Ma’s partner to draw him out. Ma arrives alone, disarms Kang’s crew, and endures a knife fight before overpowering Kang with his iconic one-punch finishers. Kang is arrested, broken and bleeding. The film ends with Ma sarcastically asking Kang if he’d like to “go get some food” — a darkly humorous nod to his unshakable personality.
