Set in an unspecified war-torn Eastern European country, the film follows DARPA engineer Dr. Mark Clyne (James Badge Dale), who is sent to the front lines to investigate a bizarre anomaly. Soldiers are being killed by translucent, glowing, humanoid figures that appear out of nowhere, are invisible to thermal imaging, and seem to ignore physical barriers. The military chalks it up to a new kind of insurgent camouflage or, worse, actual ghosts.
