The story follows Sang-man (Cha Tae-hyun), a lonely, depressed man who has attempted suicide multiple times. After another failed attempt, he wakes up in the hospital, only to realize he can see ghosts. He isn't just haunted by one spirit, but by four distinct stereotypes: a perverted old man, a weeping woman, a cigarette-loving middle-aged man, and a young, food-obsessed boy.

However, as Sang-man completes each task, the ghosts begin to vanish one by one. With each departure, the comedy subsides, and a deep sadness creeps in.
