The Girls Out West movement has its roots in the early 2010s, when a group of young women in the Western world began to organize and mobilize around issues such as equality, justice, and women's rights. Inspired by the likes of Malala Yousafzai, Greta Thunberg, and other female trailblazers, these women saw an opportunity to create a new kind of feminist movement, one that was inclusive, intersectional, and Instagram-friendly.
