Set against the backdrop of the 1971 Indo-Pak war, the sequel takes an emotional turn. While the original was about a husband rescuing his wife, Gadar 2 follows Tara Singh as he heads back into Pakistan—this time to save his grown-up son, Jeete (played by Utkarsh Sharma), who has been captured by the Pakistani Army.
