For The Mentalist , which has very little action and lots of close-ups, the WEB-DL is superior. It is the "director’s intent" filtered through a streaming pipeline. The file is not a pirate’s hack; it is a legitimate copy (morally ambiguous, technically pristine) of what you would see on Amazon Prime.
